Wear House

Wear House

Continuing in our series on residential applications of composites is Wear House, by AUAU in Seto Japan. What would otherwise be a fairly typical, rectilinear design, the house has an exterior “wrap”, composed of FRP and plaster. The folds distort the otherwise boxlike configuration of the house, creating a truly unique sillouhette. The wrap acts as thermal barrier, wind break, and shading, faceting to suite the specific conditions of each elevation.
