This FRP product factory in Middlefart, Denmark is clad with the company’s own products, some of which were designed specifically for this application. The facade is a system of overlapping FRP planks, the overlapping joints ensure the envelope remains waterproof. Window frames are also FRP, in this case extreamely thin pultrusions. Both frames and planks have a clear resin overcoat, allowing the fibers to show through and add depth. Designed by KHR Architects. More details on this project, including a great section of the facade can be found in the book Construction Manual for Polymers and Membranes, published by ITKE (more on them later) and can be purchased here.
